Elegoo will reveal the price of its first 3D scanner on Oct. 29 at 12:00 AM PDT. Early buyers of the Elegoo M1 Ultra get $100 off, or $400 off a scanner and printer bundle, through Nov. 11 at 11 PM PST.

Elegoo joins Creality, which already sells scanners, and Bambu Lab, whose first scanner is due in November. By laser line count, the M1 Ultra lines up with premium scanners rather than the pocket tier.

Elegoo M1 Ultra Price: Not Announced Until Oct. 29

Right now the scanner has no price and no cart button, just a “coming soon” banner and an email sign-up. Subscribers get 1,400 free markers with an early bird purchase.

The two discounts are fixed dollar amounts. The early bird cut is 5% off a $2,000 scanner but about 14% off a $700 one, so the early bird matters more if Elegoo prices low. The $400 bundle deal is the bigger lever, but Elegoo hasn’t said which printers count toward it.

Elegoo M1 Ultra Scan Modes, Screen and Battery

The M1 Ultra has five scan modes. The 34-line blue laser is for “medium to large objects,” the 7-line mode for “small to medium-sized parts,” and a single line for deep holes. Infrared structured light (often called NIR) handles faces and bodies without markers, and a marker-free blue laser mode covers surfaces where you can’t stick markers.

The hardware includes a 3-inch touchscreen, a swappable battery rated for up to 1.5 hours per charge, Wi-Fi transfer and a built-in processor that handles capture and image processing on the scanner. Elegoo also claims it can scan “black and metal surfaces.”

How the Elegoo M1 Ultra Compares With the Sermoon P1S and Pika

Creality’s Sermoon P1S pairs 34 cross lines, 7 parallel lines and 1 single blue laser line with NIR, the same 34/7/1 layout as the M1 Ultra. The P1S has a $2,299 regular price. The Creality Pika at $699 has a 7-line laser plus infrared.

My read: Elegoo is aiming at the P1S class.

Elegoo’s launch headline cuts the other way: “Professional-Grade 3D Scanning to a Wider Range of Creators” hints at a price below the pro tier. The screen does too. The P1S has a 6-inch display, while the M1 Ultra’s 3-inch one is Pika-sized, and Elegoo built its name on budget printers. A price well under the P1S is plausible. Matching laser counts tell you nothing about the software, which matters as much as the hardware.

What the Elegoo M1 Ultra Means for Scanner Buyers

If you were about to buy a Sermoon P1S: wait a day. The Oct. 29 price is the only number that matters, and the laser layouts are close enough that it decides the comparison.

If you want something under $700: the Pika at $699 and the Revopoint RANGE 3 from $369 are priced options today. Check the M1 Ultra’s Oct. 29 price before ruling it in or out.

If you already own a Centauri Carbon 2: the bundle discount doesn’t help you, since it requires buying a printer too. Only the scanner-only discount applies.

If you can wait a few weeks: Bambu Lab’s S1 scanner is due to launch in November, still without a price. Our Black Friday 3D printer deals roundup covers this season’s printer discounts.

Elegoo M1 Ultra FAQ

How much does the Elegoo M1 Ultra cost?

The price comes out on Oct. 29, 2026. Early buyers get $100 off.

When does the Elegoo M1 Ultra launch?

The official launch is Oct. 29, 2026, at 12:00 AM PDT. The early bird discounts run until Nov. 11 at 11 PM PST, and no shipping date has been given.

Are 3D scanners worth it for 3D printing?

They save time if you copy or repair physical parts, since a scan captures shape faster than calipers and CAD. A raw scan is a mesh, though, so you still need software to turn it into an editable model.

What We Still Don’t Know About the Elegoo M1 Ultra

  • The price, and whether the early bird $100 comes off that number or a higher list price
  • Weight, frame rate and export formats
  • Whether marker-free mode needs a PC, as it does on the Pika
  • Which printers qualify for the bundle, and when units ship
  • Which regions get the early bird pricing

Elegoo is also running a giveaway with M1 Ultra units as prizes from Oct. 25 to Nov. 25. Winners are announced Nov. 26, and entry is limited to regions where Elegoo’s official stores ship.
